A Fun Day Of Mahj!
My friends, please plan to join me for a lovely day of mah-jongg on Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at the beautiful Basque Cultural Center, 599 Railroad Ave in South San Francisco.
AN EXCELLENT LOCATION
The Basque Cultural Center is conveniently located right off of Highway 101 near SFO. It's easily accessible and there's plenty of free parking!
AN UPSCALE LUNCH
We will definitely be eating well for lunch! Salmon, chicken or vegetarian are all on the sumptious menu!
BONUS HANDS AND RAFFLE CASH PRIZES!
At other tournaments only the top three scorers earn cash, but at the SF Mahj tournament there will be at least TEN bonus hands that will earn you money. Play a “2017” hand, or a “Singles & Pairs” hand, and win some ca$h!
And ...speaking of Prizes ... Congratulations to Susan McMudie, who won the raffle and will be attending For Free! I'll again have the raffle, so you too can enter to Win A Free Tournament!

Tournament Fee of $49 Includes Lunch & Plenty of Free, Easy Parking!
Many of you know that mah-jongg tournaments are frequently used as fundraisers. What you may not know is that in those tournaments the room, the food, the prizes (or frequently all three) are donated by the members of the organization so that a large portion of your entry fee goes to the beneficiary.
At my tournaments I pay the full cost of the venue and catering (think “wedding reception” prices) and I also pay for all the prizes.
Your entry fees pay a part of this cost and the rest I chalk up to my “hobby” because I LOVE having the tournaments – they’re So Much Fun! So I very much appreciate your support and Thank You for your attendance!
